This is my final product for my front cover draft;
Making my front cover;
I started out by dragging my image of my friend onto a new page of photoshop. Before this I had to edit the background of the photo, to do this I had to use the Eraser tool to edit out the background.
Then I began chaning around the feature of the front cover, example I experimented with the Skyline, Masthead and main feature story. I used a different font in a larger size and colour for the main feature story, so that you would recognise instantly that it was the main features story.
I continued to create feature stories at this stage and the layout of the the front cover. To add these details to my front cover I used the text samples avalaible in photoshop and I changed the colour of the Masthead to make it more bold from the light background.
At this stage I began to make the magazine teasers and I changed the fonts of the different feature stories the front cover by using a larger font to make the main story stand out. Also at this stage I changed the colours of the wrtiting and background like I had decided to use from my colour scheme mood board.
This is a print screen of my final image, here I have incluided the bar code, title, date and price and the teaser.In conclusion I think I could change my magazine by changing the backgorund becasue I didn't have much time to edit the background. if I could redo this I would make the background darker so that the main image stands out more. However if I did this I would have to change the colour of the text on my front cover because you wouldn't be ab;e to see at as well. I could also make the date, price ,time etc. bigger so that you can see it more clearly. The things I like about this magazine is that I like the image becasue you have a medium close up of my friends body and can see she is holding a acoustic guitar which is connoted with the folk music genre.
