Types of magazines that appeal to the female audience;

These kinds of magazines are specialized into captivating the female audience's attention. They specialize in subjects/categorical subjects to do with; Gossip, relate-able stories, interviews and discussions with famous people, make up, fashion, agony aunt articles, money issue help articles, sex and relationship articles etc. etc.These magazines are aimed from the lower end of the social class table to the top. Examples that aim towards catergoryD/E are the 'Take a Break' magazines and 'OK' magazines.  These magazines entice their target audience by using sub- catergoric subjects such as gossip and stories, facts on sex/boyfriends/girlfriends/children/marriage/family life/eating healthy/ gruesome/vile stories/horoscopes etc. etc.  These types of magazines are sold at 89p- £1.25.Where as
magazine ssuch as Vogue sell for a maximum of about £5 but these are aimed for the higher end of the social class table and specialize in topics such as beatuy and glamor. (Expensive clothing etc. etc) No matter what end of the social class table these magazines can appear to anyone as most topics that appeal to women, are included in all of these magazines. These can be anything from beauty to advice).       

Types of magazine that appeal to the male audience;
These magazines appeal to the men  in the social class table. These magazines include topics such as; exercise routines, sex and relationship advice, dietry advice, sports, politics, women etc.etc. These magazines include topics that are stereotyped with the likes of men. This is how we know these magazines are aimed at the male audience rather than the female. Most of these magazines are aimed anywhere from the range of group E to group A in the social class table. Therefore these magazines aren't as cheap as the 'OK' magazines or 'Take a break' magazines. Some of these magazines would be sold around about the same price as Vogue and would sell for about £5 and other magazines at about £1.99-£2.99. Like female magazines, male magazines also specify in specific topics such as women(sex), health and exercise, sport, politics etc. etc.

Magazine names

All the names I have used in this are related to folk music are have something to do with it for example;

• Strummm... and BDMPH were both used as they are related to the sound of music. 'Strummm...' is an onomatopoeic word that describes the sound an acoustic guitar makes after it is strummed or played/ the strings have been played. 'BDMPH' is related to the sound of the base at a concert when the music is to loud and all you can hear is the loud sound of the base. Therefore I used the onomatopoeic word 'BDMPH' to describe this. Also BDMPH' can be used to describe the sound of a heartbeat before someone plays at a live concert in front of people and the excitement and adrenaline that causes their heartbeat to quicken.
• Folk's word and The sound of folk music are both related to the sound of folk music and the word/lyrics involved in this music. 
• Chucta songs and Campagne Musique are both different names for countryside music/folk music.'Chucta songs' is old Scottish slang for 'countryside songs'. 'Campagne Musique' is French for ' countryside music' as well. I chose these names because it represents the different types of folk music you can get, from all over the world. Whether it be, Scottish, French, Dutch, Scandinavian etc.etc.
• I chose the names Idol Pluckers and Bungo,Mungo because of the allusion these words make from their names.' Idol Pluckers' was actually 'Idle Pluckers' but I chose 'Idol' instead because this create the meaning that some of these music artists are people's idol's and people are encouraged/enticed by these singers etc. to follow in their footsteps. I chose 'Bungo, Mungo' because 'Bungo' sounds very similar to the African musical instrument  the 'Bongo drums' which create the allusion of this instrument. Also Bungo's and Mungo's are both wild animals so I used this to create the animal imagery of the wildness, outrageous- style and the courageousness of the singers and musicians of folk music.
• I used Folk essence and Traditions of Folk to state the fact/ renew the fact in people's minds that folk music has been around for along time and was one of the very first types of music, therefore there is a lot of depth behind this genre of music. Also its accustomed to where people/folk/locals are originally from. 
• Treble Base and ukaleeleee zkillzuh are both based on musical instruments used in types of folk music; 'Treble Base' is to do with the style of the music and 'base' is the instrument used.  Ukulele is also well a known played instrument but the way in which I have spelt it sounds like the way people say it' uka-leeleee' and instead of 'skills'. I have used a slang tone/ change in words and called it ' zkillzuh' like the way stereotyped gangster's do.
• I chose the names Benson's World... and Krank't'up because when I think about'  Benson's World...' it makes me think about people getting lost in their imaginations when they are listening to music that they like(or music which makes them think about certain things). This links into the sayings 'lost in a world of your own' or 'they are in a world of their own'. I chose 'Krank't'up' because it made me think of when instead of people saying turn up the music; they use the slang 'crank it up'. i used this saying but shortened it to make it look indifferent but people still understand what it means. 
• Softer notes and Free-hand... I used ' Softer notes' because it is based on more acoustic music, often that style of music is softer and more relaxing when notes are played of that tune. Which is why I thought of that name.' Free-hand..' is originally a style of writing but when I say 'Free-hand' I think of freedom to do as you please, therefore when playing music it creates a sense of freedom because you can play your emotions without anyone controlling you. It also creates an allusion to the saying ' free-minded' which means you think openly and express yourself and you're not afraid to say anything or do anything that you think. (Free in your opinion)
